At Garfield Services, we recently took on a kitchen refurbishment project that involved repairing the walls, painting and decorating the architraves and doors. The kitchen walls had suffered wear and tear over the years, with cracks, dents, and holes making the surfaces look unsightly.

To start, we filled in the cracks, dents, and holes with a suitable filler and then sanded the walls down to achieve a smooth surface. We then applied a mist coat in white to prime the surface before applying the final paint. The client chose Dulux’s Just Walnut for the finish, which gave the kitchen a warm, inviting feel.
The architraves and doors were painted in a satinwood finish, which provided a durable, easy-to-clean surface that is resistant to scuffs and scratches.
